The plan is shared at the level of seasons and regions — never real-time positions, exact dates, or the next anchorage. Weather decides the rest.
Shamrocket leaves Mobile, Alabama with two aboard and heads east along the Gulf coast, then south down Florida’s Gulf side toward the Keys.
The first winter is spent in the Keys, out to Key West and the Dry Tortugas. The first season of logging starts here — reefs, anchorages, and dive sites along the Florida reef line.
From the Dry Tortugas and Key West, up the Florida Atlantic coast, past Georgia and the Carolinas, to Cape Lookout and the wrecks of the Graveyard of the Atlantic.
After working back south, Shamrocket crosses from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas on a proper weather window.
The first full Bahamas winter, based around Great Exuma — working the islands and cays, building the Bahamas Register, and beginning field research with marine research teams through GROAN™.
From then on, the seasons take over. Each one adds to the register, the research, and the story — and each one ends up in the Expedition Log.
Winters in the Bahamas. Pure snorkeling and diving, a position-tagged register of every dive site, anchorage, and uninhabited cay, field research alongside marine research teams, and promoting the Bahamas to boaters and divers.
Summers on the Florida and Atlantic side. Logging the coast from the Dry Tortugas to North Carolina, verifying hurricane holes, shipwreck history research, filming and live broadcasts, and music at the waterfront venues along the way.
Once Shamrocket is underway, the story lands in the Expedition Log and on YouTube and TikTok — always from places already behind us.
